Privacy Policy
A practical privacy policy for a transparent publishing workflow.
This page is a draft and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before launch. It is written to clearly explain how the product is intended to collect, use, retain, and delete data.
Important note
This policy contains placeholders that must be customized.
Before going live, replace placeholder values for ИП АЛЕКСЕЕВ В.В., https://pinboardy.ru, privacy@pinboardy.ru, г. Санкт-Петербург, ул. Кирочная, 3, Russian Federation, and March 14, 2026.
Effective date: March 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how ИП АЛЕКСЕЕВ В.В., operating Pinboardy, collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when users visit https://pinboardy.ru, use the product website, connect a Pinterest account through OAuth, upload content, or contact support.
Data collection
What data the service may collect.
The service is designed around a draft-and-approval workflow, so data collection is limited to what is reasonably necessary to operate that workflow, provide support, maintain security, and meet legal obligations.
Account and contact details such as name, email address, company name, and workspace profile details.
OAuth connection details such as connected Pinterest account identifiers, granted scopes, token status, and refresh timing metadata.
Content submitted by users, including uploaded images, draft titles, descriptions, alt text, keywords, board selections, and scheduling settings.
Product activity logs such as publication events, approval timestamps, error logs, support requests, and basic abuse prevention records.
Website and device data such as IP address, browser type, page visits, and service diagnostics needed to secure and operate the service.
OAuth and account access
Pinterest accounts are connected through OAuth only.
The product is designed to use OAuth for account connection. Users are redirected to Pinterest to approve access, and the service does not ask for Pinterest passwords.
What OAuth access is used for
OAuth access may be used to read connected account details, retrieve available boards, prepare publication destinations, and publish approved pins on behalf of the user within the granted scope.
What the service does not do
- Pinterest passwords
- Hidden access to a user's Pinterest account outside the permissions granted through OAuth
- Private Pinterest data that is not required for the described workflow
- User content scraped from Pinterest or other third-party sources without the user's direct action
Use of information
How information may be used.
Information may be used to operate the product, provide support, secure the service, and comply with law.
To create, store, review, schedule, and publish user-approved Pinterest drafts.
To provide AI-generated draft metadata such as title, description, alt text, keywords, and board suggestions.
To maintain logs, troubleshoot failures, prevent abuse, and monitor service reliability.
To communicate with users about support, billing, policy updates, deletion requests, or account connection issues.
To comply with legal obligations, enforce the Terms of Service, and respond to valid regulatory or law enforcement requests.
To improve product safety, reviewer transparency, and user-facing workflow quality.
Retention, deletion, and contact
How long information may be retained.
Retention periods should be finalized with legal review, but the policy should make the intended direction clear.
User content
Uploaded media, draft metadata, and publication logs may be retained while an account is active and for a limited period afterward for support, billing, and security review, unless deletion is requested earlier.
Deletion requests
Users may request deletion through the process described on the data deletion page or by emailing privacy@pinboardy.ru.
Privacy contact
Privacy questions, legal notices, and data rights requests may be sent to privacy@pinboardy.ru.
