Data Deletion

Users should be able to request deletion and disconnect their account.

This page explains the intended deletion flow for the public site and future product environment. Replace timing and legal details with the final operational policy before launch.

Deletion process

How users can request deletion.

The deletion workflow should be easy to find, easy to understand, and reasonably prompt.

1. Submit a request

Users may submit a deletion request through in-product controls, the contact page, or by emailing privacy@pinboardy.ru.

2. Verify ownership

The service may verify account ownership before deleting connected workspaces, uploaded media, publication history, or support-linked records.

3. Process deletion

After verification, the service should remove or anonymize data according to legal, billing, and security retention obligations.

Pinterest disconnect

Disconnecting a Pinterest account should be separate from deleting all data.

Users may want to stop future publication access without immediately deleting their entire workspace.

Disconnecting should revoke future publication access for the connected Pinterest account.

Stored drafts and history may remain available until the user separately requests deletion, unless product settings allow immediate purge.

Users may also revoke access through Pinterest account permissions, subject to Pinterest's own controls.

If access is revoked externally, the service may retain limited records needed to explain prior actions and support deletion requests.

Operational note

Set a real processing timeline before launch.

The final site should specify the normal deletion response time, the completion window, and any data that must be retained for tax, fraud prevention, or legal reasons.

Suggested placeholder: acknowledge requests within 7 business days and complete deletion within 30 days, unless longer retention is required by law or legitimate security obligations. Confirm the actual timeline with counsel and operations before publishing.
